About this app

The New London Community & Campus Coalition (NLCCC) was established in 2003 when Connecticut College and the City of New London's Office of Youth Affairs joined forces to create a community coalition to address issues of underage drinking and substance abuse. Today, over 25 different community agencies and institutions have joined the effort.

Grants from both the state and federal governments support the work of the NLCCC. We focus on underage drinking, tobacco, prescription drugs, and marijuana, but address all drugs that negatively influence the life of New London children.

Our grants will promote a data driven effort rooted in proven science based prevention strategies to address alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, and marijuana (ATOD).

Unique to the NLCCC's effort is a community-based environmental approach that calls for all members of the community to engage in the process of assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Our goals are to keep New London youth safe, healthy, & educated by keeping teens in school, connected to an adult, and making good decisions.
