About this app

Tbox which means “Talk Box” or "Thetha Box" in Xhosa is a mobile messaging app which allow community radio stations to send mobile messages to registered members in the community where they have the broadcasting rights directly from their management systems! No need to pay for SMS to perform this task! Tbox is available for Android at the moment and will available for the other platforms soon!

ComRadio avails this platform to all registered community radio stations who cannot always afford the commercial products available to communicate to broad listenership using mobile messaging platforms. The same internet connection is used to either send or retrieve messages.

Listeners are encouraged to register as a friend of the local community radio station after which such listeners receive a unique Tbox-number which becomes their passport to access the messaging platform on their Smartphones. The platform also serves a means to communicate important events to listeners in the community.

In addition to the messaging capability, useful information will also be made to members using platform such as community events, important numbers, etc.
