This app still doesn't support Google Pay (and I'm assuming Samsung Pay). I've used an iPhone and know how easy it is to buy a ticket using the app on there. On Android you are forced to use a credit card, which is frankly a pain in the arse. And there are NO excuses for it. Metrolink is embarrassment enough for Manchester, and this App is just confirmation of that. Also one of the consistently lowest rated Apps on the Play Store, which is no surprise. As is the lack of feedback.

Crashes constantly, had to reinstall a few times, takes forever to load. Whoever made this should be ashamed, as should metrolink for removing single use tickets in the middle of a global pandemic, making people use the physical ticket machines. But yeah, this app sucks big time, I'd give it less than one star if I could.

Used to use this app with no trouble whatsoever, but ever since they tried to improve payment security it's been far less functional. Think it's finally at the point where it's not worth even trying because it never manages to successfully verify my card details now.

When it works, it's still pretty poor. It assumes that anyone using it is already intimately familiar with the metrolink zones and pricing. Good luck if you are a first time user! This is all kind of useless anyway, as the accursed thing often doesn't work. Sometimes you can buy tickets but not use them... Sometimes you can't even pay for them... Sometimes you can't display them and will get fined.

Works only the first time opening after install, then repeatedly refuses to open with error saying it has crashed. Pointless as you can't use your ticket then as inspectors will say it's your fault! They should take down the app and fix it before trying to scam people out of money for tickets that won't work...

Crashes all the time. Had to uninstall and then install so many times. Rubbish system , given up on it now as not worth risking a fine for not having a ticket when in fact a purchase has been made but this useless app doesn't allow access to said ticket as it crashes all the time.

About this app

The get me there app lets you buy selected tickets and travelcards for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink tram system anytime, anywhere, without the need to queue at a ticket machine.

You can choose from a range of tickets and travelcards that either let you travel between two specified stops or anywhere on the Metrolink network. Make your purchase and download it to your phone before you board the tram and then all you need to do is display your ticket or travelcard on your phone if asked to do so by a member of Metrolink staff.

The get me there app also lets you store your payment details securely, so there’s no need to enter them every time you make a purchase. And if you make the same journey regularly, the app will store your last purchase so you can easily buy it again.

Use the get me there app to:

• Buy Metrolink tickets or travelcards using credit/debit cards
• Track active, purchased and expired tickets or travelcards
• Manage your account and set payment preferences
• Get in contact with get me there Customer Services
