This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GOLD Documentation on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Not uploading properly and i uninstalled the app and the picture notes are still their with uploading on it.

This App allows me to communicate with children and there families in order to stay connected while children are growing and learning. Especially during this time of social distancing of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Teaching Strategies has now become even more important to the teachers and family connection. I thank you so much.

This app is very frustrating!!! I'm trying to upload documentation and it keeps just showing uploading on the picture, and then NEVER uploads, or it only uploads the text without pic or video....... or just a blank document with NO text and NO picture or video!!! Im losing soooo much documentation and it's really making me mad, I had this year last year too. This needs to be fixed

I am SO frustrated with this app! It gets stuck uploading observations ALL the time! It's wonderful & fast & easy when it actually works like it is supposed to, but the rest of the time it seems to just get stuck uploading & the only way I have found to fix it when it does that is to uninstall it completely and then reinstall it...but that also means losing every photo that I've taken and then I can't use those for my observations! This app really needs to be fixed!

I love this app when it works! It gets stuck uploading videos and it wont let me scroll down to choose other videos when its stuck!! So then I end up not using the videos I worked so hard on and instead writing separate notes about what we were doing. And uploading notes instead of video and then I have to delete the whole app off my phone to start a new semester because the videos that never fully uploaded are still stuck and I cant upload an of the video at the bottom that I have to scroll to

Very Frustrating This app is extremely limited in that you cannot upload previously taken pictures or videos and you cannot rate the observations according to the objectives given. The need to take pictures/videos through the app is especially troublesome because 7/10 times it has difficulty uploading and/or crashes, causing the pictures to cease to exist. A waste of time and an exercise in futility and frustration.

The GOLD® Documentation is a free app created exclusively for teachers using the GOLD® assessment system. It enables teachers to easily capture documentation in the moment using their favorite mobile device. This user-friendly app is free for all GOLD® users and can save teachers valuable time in the classroom.

With the GOLD® Documentation app, teachers can
• capture photos, videos, audio clips, and text notes;
• tag documentation with objectives, dimensions, and children’s names;
• assign preliminary levels for each piece of documentation; and
• upload documentation to GOLD® online with one touch.

Assess with confidence. Use your iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® to capture photos, videos, audio clips and text notes. Tag documentation and assign preliminary levels. Use a wireless or cellular connection to send data directly to GOLD®. Then log in to the GOLD® Web site to individualize and review documentation and share information with families.

Security/Confidentiality
To maintain security and confidentiality, all documentation captured within the app remains in the app until it’s uploaded to GOLD®. Any photos, videos, or audio files taken within the app will not mix with your personal camera roll. Files captured using the app cannot be sent anywhere other than to GOLD®. Files captured using other apps cannot be transferred into the GOLD® Documentation app.

Who Can Use This App
This app is designed for use with the GOLD® online assessment system. Users must have a GOLD® account.

The app is for teacher use only. Family Central users will not be able to log into the app. At this time, some Team Central members may not be able to log into the app.
