About this app

Try Smart Deck at your next Texas Hold’em home game and get a better deal!
(Download now and receive a bonus of 250 rake**)

Play your normal, weekly face-to-face Texas Hold’em game in person with your friends! Use the same poker chips, the same tables and chairs. Partake of your usual beverages. Most important of all, play with the same buddies. Everything is the same, EXCEPT...

The cards are dealt to your phone!

This is not online poker!
It is a replacement for that ratty, virus-ridden paper deck of cards you’ve been using for years.

Play more hands per hour!

Smart Deck gives fast, totally random shuffles with no misdeals.

Play safer poker!

Smart Deck replaces the 52 most commonly touched surfaces in your poker game.

Smart Deck is...

• Easy and natural to use.

• Fast, secure and reliable - backed by Google’s world-class cloud infrastructure.

• Private and anonymous - no registration and no personal information required.

• And it’s FREE!

Using Smart Deck lets you keep all the fun parts of your Texas Hold’em game, but eliminates the tedious parts. No more time-consuming gathering of poker cards after each hand and no more worry about clumsy shuffles or misdeals.

You still get to meet and interact in person with all of your regular poker pals. You still get to rake in those big piles of real, physical poker chips. In fact, you get to do it more often because you are playing more hands per hour. Studies have shown that Texas Holdem players using Smart Deck play up to 40% more poker hands per hour compared to using an old-fashioned deck of physical poker cards dealt by human dealers.

How It Works:

When your group is ready to play, one player pushes the “New Table” button. An easy-to-type table passphrase appears on his phone, for example, “chicken dinner”.

The other players push the “Join Table” button on their own phone and type in “chicken dinner”.

When all of the players have joined the table, the first player pushes the “Start Play” button.

Players put out their blinds as usual and the first player presses the deal button. Each player gets their hole cards dealt face down to their phones. They cover the tops of their phones with one hand and push the “Peek” button to look at their hole cards.

When the pre-flop betting is finished, the first player presses the “Deal” button again and the flop is dealt. Each player sees the flop at the bottom of their phone.

After each round of betting, the first player presses the “Deal” button to deal the turn and river cards.

Players can fold their hands by swiping their hole cards up. They turn their cards over at the showdown by swiping sideways.

When the hand is over, the first player presses “End Hand”. The dealer button is rotated as usual, and the first player presses the “Shuffle” and “Deal” buttons to start the next hand.

Note that in order to have the smoothest possible flow of play, Smart Deck is designed so that the same player (the one who started the table) always operates the dealer controls. Think of it as having a dedicated house dealer at a card club or casino, and the “dealer” is the player with the dealer button in front of him for that hand.

(**Rake - It costs one ‘rake’ to play each hand. Players earn rake by watching short video ads.)
