This was an excellent app until the update in December 2023. It used to play the audio and scroll the text automatically, keeping up with the audio. It does not do that now... no scrolling at all. Therefore, when you go out of the app and, later, go back into it, it does not go to the place where you stopped listening to the audio. Since it didn't scroll, it goes back to the same place where you STARTED last time...not where you FINISHED. Very disappointing!!!

As other reviews have noted, nothing works the way it's supposed to anymore. The newest update seems to have broken everything. As of the time of writing this, I don't intend to renew my subscription without seeing some major fixes, chief among them being the text tracking while listening. Would also like to see an option to download individual books for offline listening.

I used and recommended this app for years, but no more. In the last month or two, the app has become far less responsive, in some cases taking so long to load that my phone asks if I want to kill the app. Also, some in-app actions that were instant before take up to several seconds now. Worse than that, though, is that some very basic functions (i.e. history, bookmarks, etc.) now require a login. There can be no motive other than money for such a change.

Not working for me. I installed the app to read the bible in a year using their plan. First, when I opened the plan to look at it, it started me on that day and I couldn't reset it. Then it wouldn't scroll when I was listening to the bible. Then it didn't finish the chapter and wouldn't let me hear the audio anymore. Finally, I uninstalled it to try again, but the app will not even open. I had such hi hopes. Hope they fix the glitches soon.

I miss the old version. All this subscription stuff is absolutely unnecessary. There's also really no need for the music thing either. Like, before you could listen to Kristyn Getty's voice-over on the Bible for free, but now it's locked behind a subscription, along with all the new voices. Why? This is not something I can wrap my head around, and it makes me really frustrated this is what people resort to just to gain more money. Also, it's now impossible to listen with Cellular service. :(

All audio bible yearly plans are gone. Unfortunately the bible audio part still is almost unusable. Text doesn't follow narration, trying to skip forward or backward doesn't work. I really wish they would have just left their audio yearly plans in podcast form instead of forcing people to use the app that obviously is not designed for a pleasant listening experience
