Update: Months later, no change. PLEASE allow me to read the article I click on! That's all I'm asking. Love the articles, hate the app. The app keeps telling me to subscribe. I'm already a subscriber. When I go to log in, I'm already logged in. I have to log out and log in again to access articles. Every other day. That's annoying. There are usually one to three articles that won't open. Tapping the lead takes me to a different article. Also frustrating.

‣Update: down to one star. It knows I'm a subscriber and still gives me ads. It's not a bug, it's Trib greed. Also no more daily covid updates. Will cancel subscription. ‣Original: I love the Trib's reporting, but yeah, this app is a fuster cluck. Top problems in order of severity: 1. Tapping notifications either does nothing or opens an empty page about 2/3 of the time. 2. It's constantly forgetting who I am and so I get ads despite my subscription.

I have no problem with the Tribune but this app is garbage. While I am actively logged in I hit a paywall. Not only that but I pay for a subscription and am still advertised to. As well, I click on an article and it will pull up a different one than I am trying to read. A news app is pretty basic not sure why it fails so spectacularly.

I'm a paid subscriber, paying to have access through the paywall. Still fails & crashes consistently. i'm logged in, it shows my acct profile as logged in but doesn't lead me read articles. The login screen keeps popping back up. Tough times for the newspaper, i can only assume the $5 they spent on the app was a fail!!

The app will not allow you to copy text from articles to paste elsewhere. When I share a news story on social media I quote a sentence or two from the article in my status to show what I'm reacting to. I can't do that with this app, so I've gone back to reading with the mobile site.
