Aplikasi TOLONG ini dirancang memiliki fungsi social report, dimana masarakat dapat turut serta aktif menginformasikan dan melaporkan kejadian bencana secara langsung sebagai aplikasi alternatif yang telah dimiliki oleh BNPB.
Aplikasi Tolong dibuat dengan tujuan :
1.Agar BNPB dapat memudahkan ke tempat bencana tanpa bingung harus mencari cari alamat tempat Bencana tersebut.
2.Memudahkan masyarakat untuk melapor bencana alam yang terjadi dengan disertai bukti bukti dan lokasi yang dikirimkan melalui maps sehingga lokasi bencana mudah diketahui.
3.Sebagai perantara penghubung yang mudah antara masayarakat yang terkena musibah bencana alam dengan BNPB.
4.Mencegah bertambahnya korban susulan akibat lamanya BNPB datang.
5.Mempercepat pertolongan kepada korban musibah bencana alam.
6.Mempercepat pengiriman alat alat berat untuk membantu mengevakuasi korban yang belum ditemukan Karena suda dikirimya bukti foto di tempat kejadian.
7.Menampung bantuan/donasi untuk diserahkan kepada korban.
