Caustic 3 is one of the best DAWs. Use it mainly for the Neuro/darker stuff. My gripe with the app is that 14 machines aren't enough. And 2 effects per track aren't enough. Creating a phase-mod patch would require a bit of chorus, phaser and distortion; but I get stuck cause there are only two FX inserts. Or atleast introduce Send Tracks, so I can group machines with the same effects. 28 machines would be better. Also, the Beatbox is a sorry excuse for drums.

Love this app its amazingly simple and useable to the average guy who just wants to express his own sound... Yet it remains a powerful tool kinda a like kindergarten ableton although jt does have the MAJOR DRAWBACK OF NOT RECIEVING ANY NEW DEVELOPMENT BY ITS DEVELOPERS! One can still get a variety of packs on the website and here in the store i reccomend it to anyone who wants a music making app... This is it best in store by far ive seen

I love Caustic! I always recomend people to get it if they are wanting to make music. Right now I am getting my new phone loaded with Caustic so I can make some noise with it... The version you let us all have for Windows, it works better than programs that are actually made for Windows lol.. Thank You for creating Caustic! To those looking to get this app maybe, GET IT GET IT GET IT 100% THERE ARE TONS ON INSTRUMENTS AND SAMPLE PACKS ... YOU CAN MAKE ANY KIND OF MUSIC.. ITS MY FAVORITE!

Caustic was the first music making app that took the notion of writing music on a smart phone seriously. Not surprisingly, Caustic was way ahead of the game and even in 2020 is a top choice for a range of producers and enthusiasts. Try jt. Use it. Support it.

Caustic gives you the ability to make quick and easy music. It has fewer options compared to most other daws, but it is so fast and easy, when I was just starting, I made a small song in about five minutes. Definitely recommend.

Caustic is still THE best DAW for android! I've recently tried a few of the new-comers and latest versions (such as G-Stomper) out there but, in my opinion, Caustic still owns it's rightful place as number one choice for creating beats/music on your phone and tablet. I gladly paid the asking price of six quid to have the full unlocked version and did so also as a 'thank you' to the developer for also giving us Caustic on PC for free! Incredible!

About this app

Caustic 3 is a music creation tool inspired by rack-mount synthesizers / samplers rigs.
Everything is real-time and optimized for mobile devices.

Create your rack by adding up to 14 machines from a choice of:
* Subsynth - Virtual analog subtractive synthesizer
* PCMSynth - Multi-sample wave synthesizer
* BassLine - 303-like monosynth
* BeatBox - 8-channel sampling drum machine
* PadSynth - Harmonic table pad synthesizer
* 8BitSynth - 8bit equation solver synthesizer
* Modular - Fully configurable and routable synthesizer
* Organ - Hammond-like tonewheel organ with rotary speaker
* Vocoder - 8-band harmonic vocoder
* FMSynth - DX-style 3-operator fm synthesizer
* KSSynth - Karplus-Strong string modeling synth
* SawSynth - Supersaw-type polysynth (new!)

The app also includes:
* Effects rack supporting 2 effects per machine. (20 effect types)
* Mixer desk with global Delay/Reverb effects
* Master section with parametric EQ and limiter
* Song sequencer

Supports automation on most controls and includes powerful editors for modifying recorded automation curves.

All files are stored on the user-accessible storage, and users can supply their own WAV files for use in the PCMSynth, BeatBox, and Vocoder.
Supports all uncompressed WAV files (8-16-24-32bit, any sampling rate).
The PCMSynth can also load SoundFont files (.sf2), SFZ and FL Studio mobile instruments (.instr, .ZIP)

Class-compliant USB MIDI controllers can be connected via USB OTG cable on devices running at least Android 3.2 and supporting USB host mode.
