not happy, overpriced. There are not many apps for learning Croatian, so I am trying Ling. The free trial seemed OK, so I signed up for the 1 year membership. I now feel that $80 is far too much for what is offered. There are incomplete features, some sections just say "TRANSLATION", "EXAMPLE", as if place holders were put into the final product and they forgot to add actual translations and examples. The voice recognition is pretty spotty. I feel like I overpaid.

Request : For the conversations - would love the snail/slow feature there. I never need the snail option anywhere else except the convos and that's the only portion that doesn't have snail option... There are errors. I'm Thai and my husband is learning Thai. Some translations of words are switched incorrectly ie young man (young is translated as man and man translated as young on the written part). I'm learning Korean and on the conversations the speaker says different things to the writing.

I wish I could give this app 5 stars because I really like it. I like everything from the conversations at the beginning of each lesson to the way they get us to where we can actually follow them at the end. I had a zoom review session with one of the Ling staff some months back, and I feel like they have implemented much of my feedback as updates since then... So I know they are listening. But it is buggy. This latest version doesn't even open on my Samsung phone. So close ...

This app has potential and currently offers more languages than other apps. This is the only app I found that offers every language I am studying (for example Thai and Urdu are not common on other apps like Duolingo). Mondly also offers many languages but it will not teach you the writing system. I also didn't really like the Mondly UI. However, Ling UI is buggy and cannot properly size the text for a Google Pixel phone. The last letter is cut off all words and there is no resizing option.

The app is mostly helpful but the graphics fail on a mobile device when writing characters. Additionally, I missed the part about "auto-renew".I had removed the app months ago but they won't take an email as an unsubscribe. Fortunately, my payment method is replaced so they shouldn't be able to auto renew an app I no longer have or use. Look at the fine print on this app.

Thai Language .. I'm loving it .. but there are problems. Some of the grammar/syntax are wrong. I am impressed by the speech recognition. It can definitely help a non native speaker learn Thai, but .. learning wrong things can be devastating in Thai. 😂 I would love to help with Thai, if you have any needs ... 😁 ... Also, I am having trouble subscribing. I have multiple Google accounts on my phone and I am logged in with the primary account, but when I try to pay it goes to another account.
