A delight when it works, but hours spent removing and re-installing when connection is lost. Extremely frustrating. The app does not provide enough help to get up and running again. 25 April - many thanks for the response. Up and running again after multiple attempts. Removing and re-installing app etc. Took much, much longer than original install to get working in the first place. Very frustrating. When it is working - it's a delight!

Have had this app since v1.13 (now on v1.20.) Voice commands don't work most of the time, even though Google Home falsely reports that it made the change. Since the voice commands usually don't work, I have to use the app, which recently takes much longer to connect and seems to be always reconnecting - half the time now I need to reboot my phone because it never connects. I really want to love this app but disappointed that things are getting worse; not better.

For something so expensive you'd think that it would work. So many times this app has failed, if only they would allow professional people to create things that connect with philips stuff like zigbee is supposed to do. The gradient light and sync box are great but don't think you'll be able to use an app to make changes 5 seconds after you managed to get it working. If there's an update you'll need to reset everything and start again. Philips don't have a great app development team!!!!

You need the sync box. It doesn't work with the windows desktop application (btw, when will there be a sync app for Android TV? - controllable via the phone, of course). Furthermore, it seems that it only works via internet, not via LAN (or so it seems according to the wizard). I love the bulbs, strips, sensors... But I don't like the path Philips seems to have picked with sync (except the windows application, which I love it). I would expect the same application for other OS (android tv, tizen)

Broken TV remote control functionality. Useless support, requested video, sync box MAC ID, bridge ID, router brand, router type, which devices were connected to which input, whether it was happening with all inputs, resolution of all connected sources, TV brand, TV type, soundbar brand, soundbar type, soundbar connection, software versions ("concrete versions, not "latest""), sync box firmware, and app version, replied 14 days later requesting I reset it and reconfigure everything from scratch.

These lights and sync box are killer. However I'm giving it 4 stars cause I purchased one for another TV only to find out you can't use 2 separately sync boxes and separate lights from the other one. Meaning if you want it on more than 1 TV to bad. It only does one at a time. Did phillips not think ppl might want more than just 1. Some ppl have multiple tvs, you know living room and bedroom. Spent over 550 bucks on another sync box and 3 lights to find out it only connects to 1 sync box.
