About this app

The popular exhibition TUTANKHAMUN – His Tomb and His Treasures is on show from April 3rd to September 13th 2015 in the “Kleine Olympiahalle” in Munich. Together with its accompanying app, the exhibition gives visitors unique insights into the archaeology of ancient Egypt. Go on a fascinating multimedia voyage and discover the King’s burial chambers and his treasures exactly as they were found by Howard Carter in 1922.

The app provides you with additional content on your own smartphone during your visit as you walk around the Small Olympic Hall – including the complete audio guide text, so that no additional audio guide device is required. Videos or slide shows are also automatically displayed on the screen depending on your location within the exhibition – you can see photos of the original objects after their discovery or images of similar pieces.

The content is only available in the exhibition. The app is free to download and can be installed at home before visiting, or at the exhibition itself.
