About this app

The founder of Home Meah was a private lady that responded to a newspaper article on an abandoned baby that was found.

She took the baby in with her family and later adopted the baby.

The second baby that was accommodated by the home was Meah and the home was named after her.

She then opened the house as a private home for abandoned babies and managed it until 2012 where after the Home was taken over by the KZN Christian Social Services which is the welfare component of the Dutch Reform Church.

The KZN Christian Social Services render services throughout the province as of the 1950s.

The service includes 4 Child and Youth Care Centres of which one, Greytown CYCC this year celebrated it’s 100 years of existence.
