This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Focus Timer on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. About this app

Train the awareness of concentration.

Measure the child's focused time vs. unfocused time. See together how much of the study time who may go 'wasted'. The child will understand what focus is, and perhaps also how the pupil itself can control its focus/concentration.

+ Decide a goal-time to have the pupil to work fully concentrated, for instance 2 minutes. Even a short time can be hard at first. Set reasonable goals.
+ Tap the 'Focused button' when the pupil is concentrated, to measure the 'Efficient Time'.
+ Tap the 'Unfocused button' when the pupil does "other stuff" like playing, to instead measure 'Lost Time'.
+ Use the "Pause button" if you need to give instructions, during the session.
+ If the pupil reaches the focus-goal, then it's time to celebrate. Give compliments and maybe a break and a treat. Encourage the child for it's efforts!
+ The child can experience having the work done more rapidly than anticipated.

Your task is to read if the child has the focus set on target or not, and tap the corresponding button.
You as a pedagogue is an important person for the child, praise and encourage often!
