This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Scanner Radio Pro - Fire and Police Scanner on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Best scanner app out there. Period. But... It's past time, long overdue, to implement Google Assistant, Google Home and Nest support so that it can be streamed on Google Nest Audio speakers and Hubs. Or at the least, integrate Google Chromecast sharing to the Speakers, Hubs and Chromecast devices. I'm bumping down 1 star after several years of 5 stars, until this is done. It's 2021. Tech forward and it's time this all moves forward with today's technology. 👍🏼

It works great I could have got the other one that's just like it but I paid the $2.99 for this and it was worth it I think it works way better has more clear options. After I downloaded it today not even a half hour after that ambulance for getting called to my mother's house I heard it on the scanner that I just downloaded I was able to call my mom and see what happened it was my uncle.

.I am really impressed with this police radio. I pick up more locations and I can hear the radio traffic so clear. The night we downloaded it there were tornado warnings throughout Michigan, and we recieved almost 12 inches of rain . I felt Safe and pretty much worries were reduced . Thank you, Lillian

Paid for this..long time user. Stopped broadcasting my area channels, Memorial day weekend. Customer service unhelpful!! 7/11/21 response to Gordon: Thank you for your quick response.. I've always liked this app until recently being unable to access my area broadcasts! What is involved/required to be a volunteer broadcaster? I miss accessing my local channels. I've not even tried to find another app!! Truly hoping Myrtle Beach/Horry County come back online!! I'll be waiting.

good app, woukd love to see a link to a map showimg the area what area the scanner covers for instance, the Maine State PD highway radio could show a map of the hoghways of maine, or or the Chicago pd main radio shows a map of the Chicago area.

Great usable informative app. I use it alot an appreciate the man the makes it. What you hear on scanner inside democrat hell never makes it to the WEAPONIZED local anti-news.

Listen to live audio from over 7,000 fire and police scanners, weather radios, amateur radio repeaters, air traffic and marine radios from around the world. Turn on notifications to receive alerts anytime a scanner has more than 2000 listeners (find out about major events as they're breaking).

Receive a notification anytime:

• Access to all 6 theme colors.

• The ability to record the audio.

The audio you're able to hear is provided by volunteers (and, in many cases, police and fire departments themselves) for Broadcastify and a few other sites using real police scanners and is the same audio you would hear using your own police scanner.

Explanation of why a couple of permissions are needed:

• The "Location" permission is required so that the app can determine what scanners are located in your area when you select "Nearby Scanners". When you select "Nearby Scanners" the app first attempts to determine your location via the network, if that fails the app then tries to determine your location via GPS.

• The "Photos/Media/Files" / "modify or delete the contents of your USB storage" permission is required in order to allow you to record the audio you're hearing and be able to save it to a location that you can access from your computer.
