As a former Boost for Reddit user I'm glad to see Boost for Lemmy is finally out and, as someone who easily gets motion sick, I'm extremely thankful the app doesn't have overscroll stretching like many other Lemmy apps do. I do wish there was a way to switch what side of the card the up/downvote arrows were on and, just like BfR, there's no way to auto-bypass the "load next" prompt when there's too many filtered posts. It doesn't come up that often but having to tap "load" manually is silly.

Boost was always great in the Reddit years and now it's even better with Lemmy. Does a fantastic job of presenting the federated social experience and you can customize its look and interface extensively. Also the developer has always been, and continues to be, a hero and an accessible rockstar, very responsive and in touch with the user community. Certainly worth supporting and using full time.

This is a great first iteration of the app! Only complaints are that it lacks some features that Boost for Reddit had (e.g. gallery views, linking to images rather than displaying them in comments etc.) and the fact that many links don't open in the app any more. However, the app is blazingly fast and has a good chunk of customization.

If you used Boost for that other site, this is what you'd expect, with some nifty little UI tweaks for Lemmy. Adding multiple accounts was seamless, searching communities was significantly faster and more reliable than on Jerboa, and the visual changes such as the two-tone way of displaying a username with its instance are subtle little things that just aid the usability.

I subscribed to get on release. To be honest I expected minimal functionality. That is not the case. You can sign in and switch between multiple accounts. Images and videos display in the feed just fine for the most part. Haven't had time for a comprehensive view because there's so many more features than I expected. It has exceeded expectations. It's also been stable so it does its job very well.

It's a good app, but what bugs me is that you can't see if and when a person edits their comment. This can create problems in discussions when bad actors edit their comments and try to gaslight you. Please add a flair or something that indicates the comment was edited. Edit: thanks dev for the quick reply!
