A blast of an app, I have had a lot of fun using it as I am not in the least a musician of any kind or have any kind of musical aptitude, this app makes me sound terrific. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Lots of fun, and you can save files. It's a go-to for instant weird background audio.

I think this is really good too! The only downside is the time needed to practice using this app to gain experience in using it in trying to arrive at personally favourable and predictable outcomes in using it, but it is a lot of fun experimenting while trying to arrive at this situation! Think it must have enormous creative potential once one has reached that stage and is free and without any adds too. A very valuable app. Brent Collins.

So far this is a very cool app. I havent had nearly enough time with it yet to post a comment worthy enough to meet the standards an app this clean and beautiful should deserve. Also, such little time too, I felt it was important not to diminish the true value of a full five stars by over-doing it and shooting the moon just the same. Tho i must admit, 25 more minutes using this app would almost certainly have been enough to warrant the fifth.

awesomeness! It's not Cubase and I don't expect it to be :) its fun and makes some great sounds many thanks for the share/cares 2 things that are really buggin me though - your donate link isn't working and can we have an Invert Y axis, long press style? blue shift vs red shift color indicator? (no shift really, physics, you know what I mean) less important - i want more options in the sequencer, but, its sleek no bloat, so I can't say what exactly - just my 2 bits - cheers

Pretty much exactly what it says it is. I haven't found an export option yet, but I use it as a live instrument into Audacity, and eventually into my LMMS build. Still exploring the options. Simple and super lightweight, with a unique sound.

About this app

Plasma Sound is the most fully-featured and 100% free music instrument on the Android Marketplace!

Beautiful music instrument inspired by the Theremin, Continuum, Keyboard and Sequencer. Touch the screen and a note is generated. It's X-Axis (left-to-right) is pitch, which is designated by note and octave markings. It's Y-Axis (up-and-down) is up to you to control! Plasma Sound is incredibly configurable. Pick the note range, the waveform, cutoff, delay, tremolo, vibrato and more! You can even select between continuous mode (theremin-like), quantize mode (keyboard-like), and a hybrid.

Plasma Sound applies the same principals to the Sequencer to give you even more music creation abilities! Select a note to activate it, and drag up and down to select it's Y-value, controlling the same thing that the Y-Axis controls in the Keyboard section. Immediately you get an incredibly dynamic and versatile sequencer.

This app is known to have problems with older/lower end phones. The original Droid is known to work (just barely), but phones with lower specs will most likely run in to problems. Please don't leave a bad comment if your phone doesn't work; it's an intense app, intended for tablets (although an honest effort is put in to supporting older phones, I promise).

On top of all that is a beautiful visual based off of MSAFluid, The sound is generated by libpd.

Feel free to email me or post on the XDA thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17498254 This is my instrument for my band, Shy Guy Says, http://shyguysays.com (check us out!), so I'm incredibly concerned about stability and ease of use!
