This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Meanderbug on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Meanderbug brings you the Meanderbug app for fun and safe experience while you’re meandering Montenegro and other countries of the Western Balkans and getting to know our culture.

Meanderbug cares. We aim to make rural travel: sustainable both for our partners and their local communities, and accessible to adventurous travelers looking for reliable sources of travel information. That’s why we mapped out hiking routes and adventures we had previously thoroughly checked so you can explore them without the fear of getting lost.

As a traveler interested in exploring nature, you can enjoy adventures such as hiking, hut to hut hiking, fly fishing, rafting, ziplining and more. Also, you can find info on nearby “farm stay” destinations where organic food and local culture are available in generous portions. The Meanderbug app delivers new ideas on how to spend your vacation here in the Balkans and then helps you enact your plan.

Besides village and mountain side farm stays, the Meanderbug app also provides you with information on other nearby alternative places to stay like traditional local mountain huts called katuns.

Using the Meanderbug App enables travelers to do good while they travel. Our team works with local partners to coach, launch new entrepreneurs, map routes, maintain and create new hiking trails and seek eco-friendly solutions such as our unique compost toilet designed to use local resources. Working with the Meanderbug team helps us make a difference in the lives of more than 100 partners–and growing.
