Didn't work. Also, you can only log in in the train, and only if you can receive a text/sns message. if I could, I wouldn't need the wifi. even so, I never got the SMS message. why authenticate with my train ticket number??? I'm on the train! waste of time and effort!!

I worked for about 90 minutes and wouldn't connect. I tried two days later on a different trip. Still no luck.

PlayRenfe is the Wi-Fi connectivity and entertainment platform available on your Renfe journey and in Cercanías suburban rail stations. You can go online with your devices and make the most of your travelling time by working or enjoying films, live football matches, your favourite series and much, much more.

The service is marked with the PlayRenfe icon next to the train access door on all coaches.

This service is available throughout the journey. To enjoy it, please follow the steps below:
1. Go to your device’s settings and select the PlayRenfe Wi-Fi network that you’ll find on the train.
2. Identify yourself. Choose one of these three ways of logging in:
- Your ticket number (you can scan the QR code on your ticket).
- Your Más Renfe card number; enter the ID card or passport number with which you’re registered with Más Renfe as the password.
- With a promotional code.
