They just make it worse every time. Every time I reinstall this emulator it looks completely different and gets less straight forward to set up each and every time. I'm sick of it. They need to stop redesigning this app >:( It runs games well though so if you don't care about the nightmarish set up then get it. If you want to play up dreamcast games quickly and simply then find something else

This is clearly highly unstable, configuring an xbox360 controller to it is a nightmare, it is not responding to any of the buttons, main reason I use/keep the app is because redream does not work on devices/computers with android x86 installed, all other emulators does work with this controller however, looks like development is calling it quits...

Fantastic app! It's unreal that it's free to download. It's a little tricky to set up at first but if you take ten minutes to search for some instructions there are plenty online. You'll need a decent file manager app and something to unzip compressed files. It easy enough to find Dreamcast ROMs online for free download. Not all of them work perfectly but the majority of the ones I've tried do (still struggling with Shenmue II). I have this on my S8 and S4 tab and I play with an ipega 9021.

This emulator is pretty good, but it has some bugs that affect my experience. # If I pause too much the emulation by bringing up the menu (the one with save states options, swap disc, etc), the app starts to get really slow, so i have to close and open it again to fix it. # If I load up a game, exit the game and load another one or try to enter the bios, the app freezes. It fixes by closing and opening it again. # with the .04 update, the vmu icon is glitchy (it didn't happen before that)

Excellent accuracy and speed, however every time I either force exit the application or soft close and then close from recent applications, it clears all settings apart from BIOS location, so I have to set up games directory and video settings again. S9.

Works great but im not sure if its just mvc2, but the audio is kinda slow. also when i exit the game and go back in to the game then it stops working so i have to close the app then open it up again works well tho.after using it for about a day went into settings and fixed the lag and audio but its still a little slow with the audio.and if i attack in mvc2 the frame rate drops a little bit the background also makes it slower but it works really good. Thanks (:

About this app

Play your Dreamcast games on the go & in HD.

Reicast the only Dreamcast emulator for Android. It is not perfect yet, but can already run many games.

No games or bios are included with this download, as this would be illegal. You have to dump the bios and games from your own dreamcast.

**Permissions**
- "Photos/Media/Files" -> to read game images and bios
- "Camera/Microphone" -> for dreamcast microphone emulation
- "Device & app history" -> to read emulator crash logs. You can submit the logs via the included menu to help us solve issues.

**Setup**
- Create a folder named "reicast", and then a folder named "data" inside it. Put the bios (dc_boot.bin & dc_flash.bin) inside the data folder. Windows sometimes hides the file extention, so the filename might look like "dc_boot" on the windows explorer.

- Create a folder anywhere you want, and put the Dreamcast games in there. Reicast currently supports .gdi, .chd (v4), and .cdi disc formats, but .cdi is discouraged due to problematic compatibility.

- Open reicast and selet the "reicast" folder you created as system path.

- In order to save your game-play progress you will first need to format the memory cards. In order to do this you need to start the program, select the "boot bios" option, go to the "file" option, select the memory cards and then select the "delete all" option.

- Finally use the game navigator to locate your games. You can also setup a game path if you want to default to a specific folder.

- For further support & general questions, ask in http://forums.reicast.com/index.php?board=1.0

**Recommended specs**
- Cpu: Cortex-A9, Dualcore, 1.2ghz
- Gpu: Adreno, Tegra K1 or Mali400 gpus
- At least 512mb ram
