About this app
ReallySchool offers a fresh and intuitive approach to capturing student learning experiences during primary and early years education.
Once your school has registered online with ReallySchool, Teachers and TAs can be invited to download and use the ReallySchool app to help capture observations, link learning to assessments and share progress with parents.
Key features:
Pre-configured assessment points
ReallySchool has pre-populated development assessment points from a number of frameworks to provide you with a quick and easy selection and tracking process.
Additionally, assessment statements can be refined to show student understanding and demonstrate smaller steps of pupil progress.
Capture supporting evidence
Support your observations and assessments by capturing and adding photos, videos and audio clips to your notes.
Track and Review progress
Once you’ve captured your student’s observations and assessments, ReallySchool produces digital journals which showcase pupil learning journeys and achievement, and reports that enable you to view pupil attainment and progress, as well as spotting and addressing gaps in learning. Additionally, by pressing and holding on a student you can see a summary of their attainment.
Celebrate student success
Add student badges to observations to celebrate student work, progress, behaviour and more. These badges can be shared with parents and ReallySchool even helps you keep track of which badges your pupils have collected over time.
Secure environment
A dual layer of security and permissions ensures that evidence is secure. All data is shared in the cloud on GDPR-compliant servers.
Enhance parental engagement
Share students’ learning evidence with parents or family members to keep parents up to date on their progress. Respond to parent comments on observations to open a parent-teacher dialogue. Parents can also create observations of their child’s learning and special achievements which teachers can feedback on, celebrate, and even apply assessments to so they can monitor learning progress outside of school.
Support home learning
Share home learning activities with parents to continue learning outside of school. Include videos, photos and audio clips to give guidance and examples of activities. Provide specific guidance and feedback to individual students. Parents can respond with notes, photos, audio clips and videos of their child’s achievements. Teachers can also choose to apply assessments to these entries so they can continue to track attainment and progress when learning happens outside if the classroom.
Easy to use
The user-friendly interface allows you to quickly create observations and monitor pupil progress in just a few clicks.
Flexibility
In an observation you can select any number of classes, students, assessments and age bands to enable you to record high quality observations. Additionally, you can make changes at any time including adding or removing students on the fly. Staff can change the date and time of observations and home learning activities including scheduling them in the future.
