"Art Gallery+" is a fine selection of paintings of iconic artists.

Among them are works by Caspar David Friedrich, Albrecht Dürer, Sandro Botticelli, Johannes Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Jan van Eyck, Diego Velázquez, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Paul Cézanne, J. M. W. Turner, Thomas Eakins, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Thomas Gainsborough, Salvador Dalí and many more.

Discover 592 international artists and their masterpieces.
Learn interesting details about 3225 individual paintings or read the corresponding Wikipedia articles on the
masterpieces. The descriptions are mainly in English.

Mark your favorite paintings in the gallery or those paintings you don't like so much. By this make it your private art gallery. Use the filter symbol within the titelbar to filter paintings either by favorites, by same artist or by same decade. Searching for a specific painting is also possible. Share your favorite painting with others.
From the gallery you can also set a painting as the wallpaper for your phone/tablet.

The "Art Gallery+" supports Chromecast by Google. If Chromecast is available you can cast the paintings in the slide show to your TV.

An integrated Quiz allows you to test your knowledge about the artists and their paintings. You will learn the specific styles of individual painters, their most famous works, its names, and its creation period.

Do not expect perfect high-resolution replica of the artworks.
All images are sourced from the media library Wikimedia Commons.
To load the image files a fast internet connection is needed. You can reduce data traffic by deactivating high image resolution within the settings menu.

- INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE : used for getting data from wikipedia
- SET_WALLPAPER : used to set a painting as wallpaper from gallery
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE : used to share a painting via mail or other services
