Ratib is a form of dhikr prepared by a Sufi Order teacher to be read at certain times by a person or in congregation in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Sufi Order teacher. Ratib is usually practiced for the public, which means that Rikib dhikr may be diwirid (read over and over) and practiced by anyone, the general public, whether the followers of tarekat or not. Besides Ratib there is also a dhikr which can only be practiced by followers of the Sufi order called Hizib. HIZIB Hizib comes from Arabic: HIZBUN. Which means: group, class, party, type, wirid, weapon. And in this case the appropriate meaning is the type of wirid.Hizib is the set of verses of the Qur'an and the string of recitation, Asma Allah (ismul a'azham) and prayers are arranged to be practiced by reading or diwiridkan (pronounced over and over ) as a form of worship to get closer to Allah Almighty (Taqarrub Ilallah). So the content of a Hizib besides containing glorification praise Asma Allah SWT and Prophet prayer also contains a prayer to ask for help to God.
