Maggie+Ivy is the product of a love for romance and fashion. It is my love note to all women who are in love and looking for that special dress that complements and defines all they are feeling in that moment. It is about looking your absolute best on one of the most important days of your life.
Maggie is my mother and Ivy is my husband’s mother. These two women inspire me very much. Their strength and love made us the people we are today. And as you get ready to take the plunge, my prayer for you is that you will find the right man, the right date and the right dress.
On your wedding day, there will be a myriad of emotions running through your mind. As you prepare for the big day, you want to make sure that there will be no insecurity about how you look.
For me, this journey started a over a decade ago when I met the love of my life. When we decided to get married, I wondered about “the dress”. Should I get a ball gown or a mermaid shape? One or two piece? Bustier or sleeves? White or ivory? Long or short veil? The options and questions seemed endless. However, I found my dress, very unexpectedly, while I wasn’t really looking.

After my wedding, I couldn’t stop thinking about how the experience of finding “the dress” could set the tone for the rest of the wedding. I wanted to share that experience with other brides as they prepare for their big day and I wondered how I could help give them a special moment.
One day as I was working on my computer, I came across an advertisement for the closing sale of a bridal store in Austin, Texas. I decided to go and see it. Wow! Over 300 dresses on sale and it hit me! This is it! I bought all the dresses and the idea for Maggie+Ivy was born! It took a couple of years to get the rest of the business organized, but here we are, finally!!!
I hope Maggie+Ivy is your first stop for your bridal, bridesmaids and evening wear. We have carefully curated and selected dresses for all formal occasions. Right now we are skewed towards catering to every bride in practically every budget range. Next year we will be expanding the evening wear and bridesmaids selection.
