Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LingoReader on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

LingoReader is an ePub reader with the main goal of assisting the user to read books in foreign languages. The app also provides an easy way to create and manage your collection of words/translations that can be easily exported.

The features of LingoReader include:

- Translate words and sentences using pan gestures, with no need to perform long-touches
- Offline translations are available!
- Display the translation either on a bottom sheet or by replacing the original sentence in-place
- Save a word or sentence that you have translated and easily manage them
- Export the words as you wish: by copying to the clipboard, saving to a local file, or directly sharing a file
- Choose between one of three themes: light, sepia, and dark
- Automatic dark mode! By enabling this option, the app's dark mode will be in sync with your phone's dark mode
- And what's more, you can use all these features totally for free!
