Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SupaReada - blog reader on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

I don't know how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. It's like a Facebook feed for the blogs of your choice. I'd love a dark theme but that's just a wishlist not a requirement. Great job on this app, it'll be helping me replace social media with educational blogs. I have literally only one request that I think would be great to have (ignore if it already exists but I didn't see it). I'd love to have categories that I can control. I'm a programmer and mainly read programming blogs but it would be nice to make a category for programming blogs, design blogs, food blogs, etc etc. So if I want to browse all recent posts from my programming blogs then I can do that without food and design blogs in the mix. Anyway, great job! And thank you!

Great, simple app. Only one downer: the type changes from black to light grey when one swipes into a story.

Supareada is a simple, easy to use blog and RSS feed reader. Subscribe to your favourite RSS feed which can include anything from:
- blogs
- google news categories

- webcomics
- magazines

Stay up to date from one place with this simple feed reader. Supareada lets you easily customise your list of RSS feeds; simply add the URL of a feed and the app will automatically pull the latest posts from that site or blog. The app will also keep you up to date pulling posts from each blog you follow every time you open the app.

We know many of you like to share what you've been reading with your friends and social circles. To this end we've added sharing options to each post allowing you to quickly open up conversations about any topic on any social media application you have installed. This will not just share the link to the post but also the title and the best available image.

Now that Google Reader is gone, Supareada is here to offer a replacement feed reader with a strong focus on simplicity and privacy. Unlike Google Reader, Supareada requires no account and no personal information is stored! Unlike other feed readers, we also make sure to use only the bare minimum of Android permissions.

+ Only loading 10 posts from each feed at a time now. Users usually don't want a sites whole history as this can make their unread count jump to the hundreds. There might be a settings option to enable full site loading in future if you want to.
+ Setting/Options menu has been moved to sidebar

+ Post buttons should be all caps on all devices now
