These rules may be called the Maharashtra Cooperative
Societies Rules. 1961.
They extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.
Definitions:- In these rules, unless the context otherwise, requires.
"Act" means the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act. 1960;
"Apex Co-operative Bank" means a federal co-operative bank having
jurisdiction over the whole of the Maharashtra State and recognised as such by
the State Government for the purpose;
