It's great to be able to hear different sounds so that it would make it possible to make projects, but I found a few issues with the app. One being that all sound ceases to emmit once you tap two or more notes at the same time multiple times. And another being that it lacks a custom measure test to experiment combinations of notes. Other then the sound bug and a simple issue that can be bypassed, it is probably the best app to get a reliable reference to notes and their sounds.

This is the only app that I've found so far to have the names of the notes and plays the note too. great job! Great user feedback! I'll be buying the full version.

==============

Just touch your note to hear it play! A simple introduction to written music, allowing anyone to turn written notes into the tune they represent. No need to play the piano - just play your notes!

This lite version of Play-my-note is designed to introduce beginners to musical notation. The app allows anyone to find out how written notes sound.You don't need to know where the notes are on a piano, this app lets you "play" a melody by touching actual notes on a screen. The app can also show you the note names.

The lite version uses the three simplest key signatures, can store the 4 most recent notes played, and has a choice of 2 sounds. Treble, Bass and Tenor Octave clefs can be selected, and both note names and Tonic Solfa syllables can be displayed for each key. It can also show the semitone steps in the scale. This is especially useful for showing how accidentals alter the gaps between notes. A simple introduction to written music for anyone, anywhere.

Check out the full version for all 13 key signatures, or Play-my-note Extra for transposition and C-clefs.

• Touch a note to hear it play
