I love this set of apps it's great for learning & making sure you know the subject well. Problem is though that once I had all five it would crash the manage apps function of my phone & started the phone glitching. Once I removed them my phone is working well again. The phone is a HTC One M9+, my previous phone a Samsung Note4 would freeze the same function with only the first four parts.

About this app

Minds On Physics - the App is the mobile version of the popular Minds On Physics Internet Modules found at the publisher's website. Affectionately known as MOPs, this physics learning tool delivers a collection of questions that target students' misconceptions and misunderstandings. Immediate feedback, opportunities for self-correction, and question-specific help abound. MOPs blends the need for careful reading, logical reasoning, and physics understanding in an effort to produce a more confident and able physics student. Part 5 of the 6-part series includes the Wave Motion, the Sound and Music, and the Light and Color modules. There are 28 missions in all with nearly 900 questions. Each question includes one or more Tutorial screens that provides detailed guidance on the question.

Serious students will enjoy the mental workout, the continuous feedback regarding answers, the chance to read tips and suggestions that are written specifically for each question, and the intelligent delivery of questions that target their commonly held misconceptions. Students can flag questions from various missions for inclusion in a Personal Review Bank. This student-created bank of questions can then be reviewed prior to an upcoming quiz or test.

Teachers will appreciate the fact that the app promotes close reading, critical thinking, and the development of strong conceptual models. The app's ability to store student progress makes it ideally suited to use as a homework delivery system. The full complement of supporting resources at the publisher's website is an added benefit for teachers considering the use of the app with their classes.
