About this app

This app is designed to prepare students at the grades 4-6 levels in the skill sets required for the PEP Ability Test. The Test is an assessment of reasoning skills which are both verbal and nonverbal. The types of reasoning incorporated in the app involve figural, spatial, qualitative and quantitative reasoning. Within these broad areas, students develop a range of abilities to make associations, comparisons, calculations, sequences, categorizations, word-patterning, spatial-analysis, probabilities and estimations, opposites and similarities, symmetry and dissymmetry, sentence order, grammar, logical deductions and inferences. These reasoning abilities form essential skill-sets for students’ application of concepts in all subject areas and are therefore both critical and fundamental to scholastic achievement
