It seems to be the Android version of this app that isn't working, as I had 2x occasions yesterday where my order simply never made it to the store! The order also doesn't appear in my activity history. It'd be awesome to have a 'repeat order' function!

Tap used to be that friendly place you go to grab a coffee, get a stamp on your loyalty card and go. That loyalty card was that extra "feel good" factor. Now I have to install an app. At signup, they want all of my info, of course. I literally need to tick "agree to use data" and "agree to receive marketing" to continue. Why does my coffee shop need to know more information about me than some people at my work? This whole convoluted process, has one consequence: I don't get my coffee from Tap anymore. Given the choice might as well go to Kaffeine or Curator. They might not have loyalty cards, but they are closer and don't try to alienate their customer base. So long Tap, thanks for the coffees.

Are they crazy? I have to create an account and login every time I need a coffee? I don't want my coffee to be turned into a bank transaction! It is supposed to be a relaxing experience!!! I don't even understand why they force me to have my phone with me...maybe I don't want to carry it, maybe I don't want to be disturbed. I hate these hipster attitude where they think a simple paper loyalty card is not good enough for them! There are other places to buy my coffee.

It is a massive faff to check in to the location, more faff to then get the staff to remember to do their part on the till (if they don't then no stamps after paying). Most of the time you don't get the stamp and when you point it out the staff are rude. On more than one occasion I have been told "not my problem, its the app!" I buy 2 coffees a day and more if I am buying for others too. On top of this you push notifications trying to sell me products and i can't switch it off. MASSIVE fail, bring back a simple cardboard stamp or I will have to start getting my coffee elesewhere.

Terrible experience ( every time I buy coffee (2-3 times a day) I need to keep my phone ready, login, check-in, remind a personal to check me (and they always forget). The whole loyalty program is ruined which makes me to choose another places to drink coffee much more often. Please bring back classic stamp cards

Too many times the app doesn't work (login fails) or the machine at the store can't connect into it

About this app

The first Department of Coffee and Social Affairs opened in East London’s iconic Leather Lane Market in late 2010.

With that in mind, our App allows you find the nearest Dept. of Coffee shop, "check-in" (once you arrive near the shop) and pay at the counter for your favourite coffee, collect and spend loyalty stamps (no more paper cards to lose!), keep track of your receipts and lots more.
