Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Sun Viewer 2 on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Running on Android 7.0. The Solar Activity screen doesn't appear to work. It shows no data and none of the values are selectable. It also just shows thumbnail images of the aurora maps, when clicked nothing is shown except a blank screen. Please let me know if these issues are common or if there's something I need to do to get the Solar Activity screen working properly.

Good app but the kp levels solar wind and particle levels have stopped updating.

Great app! I wanted just H-alpha daily images and got much much more. Only two things I'd like to see improved: 1. descriptive texts that come with images might contain more information and 2. Please improve readability of texts on solar activity page. They appear only for very short time and two of them are white letters on yellow background... You know what I mean.
