About this app

Satuan Pengamanan yang selanjutnya disingkat Satpam adalah satuan atau kelompok petugas yang dibentuk oleh instansi/badan usaha untuk melaksanakan pengamanan dalam rangka menyelenggarakan keamanan swakarsa di lingkungan kerjanya” (Peraturan Kepala  Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia Nomor 24 Tahun 2007 Tentang Sistem Manajemen Pengamanan Organisasi, Perusahaan dan/atau Instansi/Lembaga Pemerintah, BAB I, Pasal 1, Ayat 6).

“Satuan atau kelompok”, ini berarti seorang Satpam bisa bertugas menempati Pos Penjagaan seorang diri atau berkelompok, kalau berkelompok berarti harus ada yang memimpin, bisa itu Kepala Satpam, Komandan Regu (Danru) atau anggota senior (yang dituakan).

Sedangkan yang dimaksud dengan kata “Petugas” mengandung arti bahwa Satpam adalah masyarakat biasa yang telah dididik dan dilatih dalam bidang keamanan. Dididik dan dilatih di Lembaga Pendidikan atau BUJP yang telah memenuhi syarat. Dan setelah selesai mengikuti pendidikan mendapat ijazah Satpam resmi dari POLDA setempat.

Banyak orang yang mengaku petugas keamanan tetapi tidak pernah mengikuti pendidikan Satpam Gada Pratama, Gada Madya atau Gada Utama. Maka di lapangan Satpam yang belum mengikuti pendidikan seperti itu tidak kompeten karena tidak punya ilmu kesatpaman.

Anggota Satpam yang bertugas mengamankan area, maka ia harus membawa Kartu Tanda Anggota (KTA) Satpam, cara medapatkan KTA dengan mengurusnya di POLDA setempat dan melampirkan Sertifikat Satpam. Jadi kalau tidak punya KTA di pastikan Satpam tersebut belum mengikuti pendidikan dasar satpam atau belum resmi jadi satpam.
