This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PalmABooks 2 Audiobook Player & Free Abook browser on PC Windows and Mac.

PalmABooks is fully featured audiobook player that is free and ad-free.
It has special functionalities, that makes it great player for audiobooks.
It provides:
+ Ability to easily find an audiobook from librivox.org or wolnelektury.pl +
+ Sleep functionality - automatic pause after chosen period of time, also pause that slowly turns down volume until it reaches pause +
+ Refreshing of library directory without removing saved positions in already existing books
+ Changing playback speed - from x0.5 to x4
+ Saving position in book - after you close app and open again it will start playing at position that was saved before exit app, every position is independent from each other
+ Configurable buttons, they might change file or jump by time from 5s to 10m
+ Bookmarks
+ Configurable sorting of sound files - support for filenames like 1.mp3, 2.mp3... 10.mp3 in proper order
+ Widget that allows control playback
+ Support for formats: .mp3, .m4a, .wmv, .wav, .ogg, .m4b
