This is amazing app to enhance your vocabulary. I really like it. You can also add your words in personal dictionary and practice when you want. Just one thing needs to improve. App is slow. But I hope developers update it soon. Thanks OEVT.

This is wonderful app. Can you link it with Oxford Advanced Learners Dictuonary, so that words seen in the dictionary may be directly sent to this app for practice purpose. It will make the app more useful. Thanks. One problem, the app takes longer to launch.

From a conceptual perspective this is the best vocab i've ever seen! But there are two issues: 1) many chrashes, loadind errors, etc. (especially with bad internet connection) 2) only works with fast internet connection. The possibility to load the vocab-queue or chunks of the wordlists for offline usage would be so nice!

Using OnePlus 6, Android 10, 400Mb/s Wi-Fi, I am located in Finland. The app shows blank page after I choose my first vocabulary list and press OK. Then the OS gives a message that the app is not responding. I would assume there is a memory leak or you are not handling some request timeouts properly. Definitely requires more testing from dev team on real devices and further optimizations. Currently it doesn't work.

This app is a goddamn nightmare to use, everything from starting up to downloading content to just using anything took forever to load (I'm using a 2019 galaxy a70 so it can't be the device fault). The whole operation seem like something you'd see in a scheme app. basically a useless app, great idea, bad execution. Updated: wow now this app is not even try to work at all. It just load up, ask you to pick you language, but clicking the "ok" button doesn't do anything at all

I've just started using the app (free version). The app looks fabulous. However, audibility is far below the average, especially when compared with OALD app (in my wish-list already). Hope you'd pay attention to this deterrent. Thank you.

About this app

If you are learning English for work, in preparation for academic study, or you are working towards an English language exam like TOEFL or IELTS, this is a quick and easy way to expand your vocabulary – even when your English tutor is not there. You can even access popular wordlists from Oxford coursebooks to continue your studies at home.

Learning Technologies Awards 2016 – Silver Winner

- Expand your vocabulary with daily practice: improve pronunciation by listening to audio clips; learn the definition using pictures and description; practise using each word correctly in a sentence

- Receive instant feedback when your tutor isn’t there: identify spelling, grammar, meaning and usage mistakes quickly

- Choose the words you want to learn: speed up your learning by adding words to your own personalised Oxford English Dictionary

- Track your progress and see how you’re improving: set yourself a goal and see how well you’re performing by collecting points and feedback

- Share learning progress with your teacher: ideal if you are learning English using Oxford’s textbooks

The Oxford English Vocabulary Trainer uses a learning technique called ‘spaced repetition’. This means you’ll practise each word at the point when you are most likely to forget, helping you to remember more vocabulary.
