The app is poorly designed. When you're reading the instructions, it doesn't specify the quantity of the ingredients. So you have to keep scrolling back and forth between the ingredients and the instructions. I also wish there was an option to select portion sizes. The recipes typically have only one photo. Especially for some of the more exotic recipes, more photos would be helpful.

Purchased app for a year back in November. Hasn't worked at all. Have written NYT Customer Service several times, describing my issue, giving all my pertinent information, yet have only gotten unhelpful responses. Have therefore been charged subscription fee and have received absolutely nothing. Quite frustrated and perturbed to be left twisting in the wind. Makes me start to reevaluate whether my entire NYT app is worth the cost, given that one can easily access all the news they want for free.

At least 50% of the time, the app tells me it can't load the feed because I'm "offline." I have unlimited data and I'm on WiFi at home. The app should work regardless either way. I have reported the issue to NYT with no fix. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Not helpful if you are at the grocery store and you can't pull up your NYT shopping list. Very frustrating.

Very disappointed that I'm paying $40 a yr for an App, and still have to see advertisements. Make the app free if you're going to make money on the advertisements. Also very disappointed that I cannot print the recipes. I don't like to cook with my electronics in the kitchen. I will not be renewing the app when it come up for renewal.

I like that I can save my favorites, but I wish there was a print option like most other cooking apps. Edit- The only way to leverage the built-in print is to screen shot a page the print the screen shot. The mobile webapp has a print button that formats a printable page, but the Android app does not

Incredibly disappointed with their decision to add advertisements to a paid app. Especially since they haven't added any new features to improve the user experience. Justified the subscription because some of the recipes are good, but now the app runs so much slower and is frustrating to use, will be cancelling before my next renewal
