Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Guitar Vocal Key Finder - Lite on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

This is the Lite version of Guitar Vocal Key Finder with ads and a 45 second song limit.

Often the best singing artists can't sing in the same key as other artists' songs. That doesn't mean they can't sing the song well, rather they just can't sing it in the key the original artist sang it in!

If you're a vocalist / singer and find it difficult to sing in the key of some songs, this app will allow you to change the pitch of a song in (.mp3 format) any number of semi-tones up or down from the original key, so you can figure out the most suitable register for you. If you're a guitarist, or sing along to a guitarist, you can specify a capo position and listen to how the song would sound, if the original song had the capo in this position when first written. You can then try singing along to it, and ascertain if it is a suitable key for you. If it isn't, then choose a different capo position and try again.

And if you tend to sing at a lower key then most, then the app will allow you to hear how the song would sound if the guitar was detuned (no capo) below a guitar's standard tuning of EADGBE.

We've even built into the app, the ability to hear the guitar tunings at different registers, just in case you don't have a tuner to hand!
