Saat ini Ponpes Nurul Ulum Malang diasuh oleh Ibu Nyai Hj. Kholifatuz Zahroh (Istri dari KH. Ahmad Suyuthi Dahlan) dan adik beliau KH. Kamal Fauzi Syifa. Sedangkan Gus Ali Mushthofa, masyarakat mengenal Beliau sebagai pengasuh Majelis Istighotsah Gubug Bambu Eling Pati.
