Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Good Law on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

Good Law aims to be the one-stop app for everything related to law in Ghana.

Currently, the app has the following features.

. Collection of statutes which are dynamically and regularly updated.

. Ability to revise the contents and provisions of a statute.

. Ability to immediately display references to other provisions within the currently displayed statute, or from other statutes. (ie The Courts Act (Act 459) as amended makes several references to provisions in the 1992 Constitution. While reading the Courts Act, you can view all the referred provisions in the 1992 Constitution right on the scree, without scrolling or having to open the 1992 Constitution itself)

. You can write notes and attach external authorities directly to any provision of any statute. By so doing, you create your own pool of legal information (Good Law), which you can access and search through at any time.

. A dynamic collection of legal principles and topics, and the authorities underpinning them, which are regularly updated.

. Dynamic Composite Provisions. A composite provision in Good Law is essential an area of law and the statutory provisions underpinning them. (ie Bail, is a composite provision in Good Law, which gives you all the provisions in relevant statutes related to the grant of bail)

. Multifaceted Search Functionality. You have the ability to search within a statutes, across statutes, within legal principles, and most importantly within the annotations made by you in respect of various provisions.

. Constant updates with more functionalities including law courses etc.
