Nimbus Tutoring Inc. (Nimbus) is a recent start-up that is dedicated to connecting university students to tutors via in-person tutoring lessons. The company manages this connection by combining a scheduling, payment, chat, and review system into one streamlined mobile application.
Beyond creating an application, Nimbus’ goal is to disrupt the education industry by creating a platform that fosters learning and teaching amongst one another.
Currently, Nimbus is only available to students at McGill University. In 2018, Nimbus will be coming to other universities in the Toronto region.

Furthermore, the in-app review system offers constant feedback for our tutors so that they are able to improve themselves and provide better lessons!

All of Nimbus' tutors have successfully completed the courses that they offer. Importantly, Nimbus’ tutors understand what professors look for when they grade exams. Booking a tutoring lesson has never been easier! Just search the course code, pick a location, select a tutor and then choose a time. Don't worry about carrying cash, as all transactions are conducted in-app through our convenient payment system. All you have to do is show up ready to learn!

For students:
- Book one-on-one tutoring lessons for courses at McGill that you require help in
- Search the course code, pick a location, select a tutor, and choose a time
- Message your tutor to receive directions to your lessons and information regarding the topics you require help with
- In-app payment system provides a convenient cashless service
- Review your tutor after each lesson to ensure quality service
For tutors:
- Update your teaching availabilities through Nimbus' in-app scheduling system
- Select the courses you wish to teach and the hourly rate you wish to charge for your courses
- Decide the cancellation policy you wish to set for your students
- Pick the locations you wish to teach at as well as the number of students you wish to have
- Message students and manage their lessons
- The in-app payment system eliminates the need to handle cash

App Permissions
