Was broken, now fixed. There are still some issues, but improving! A couple of current issues: the navigation bar at the top of the article overlaps with the too of the article itself on my Pixel 3, and the sensitivity of side Vs vertical scrolling is a bit off. I appreciate that the app gives access to the audio edition. I'm not sure if I'll use it much myself at the moment, but it is important for accessibility. 👍

So disappointing. Firstly, I love the New Scientist magazine and finally decided to take the step to subscribe and read on my devices. Key points that were disappointing: -The overall experience is stuck in the 90's. -Minimal/no self service features -App has less functionality than the website -App only serves as a 'magazine downloader'. -Requires repeated login using an archaic reference number paired with email It really leaves me with the impression that NS behind the scenes is failing to adapt to new media types and are stuck in their ways. **I'll happily sign back up once you've a basic news UX sorted!**

Major bugs have been introduced with no sign of them getting fixed anytime soon. It's no longer possible to reach the articles from the table of contents, you just get an "access denied" message and have to swipe your way through the articles. Also you can no longer delete downloaded issues, the app just crashes, if you want to clean up old issues you have to delete and reinstall the app.

Guys, I really really love the content you put out, and I recently resubscribed after a friend said you'd introduced audio versions of your articles (great decision btw!), but Holy moley is this app's UX bad. I'm swiping one way, returning with an opposing swipe and being returned to a different place! Do you have a completely overhauled app on its way? I really want to pay you monthly but it took me 10 mins to find the audio section despite the tutorial! Please make it easier to love you :(

Such a bad app. Again it is not showing this week's magazine. Despite reloading the app etc. And foolishly again I took out another year's subscription, thinking that was the problem. Last year it happened and I took a duplicate subscription which was never refunded despite legnthy correspondence. Hopefully this time will get my £198 back!!

The latest version, 4.0.1.3338, arrived a few days ago. It's a big improvement in that the menu now scrolls up reliably which many complained about in the past. The full menu now has pictures against each article which somehow make it more likely I look at them. There's also a quick menu that let's you jump to the section you want. I'm not complaining about this version.
