Almost all the news articles are behind the subscriber paywall now, where it used to be much less in the past. I have subscribed before in the past and would not have minded to subscribe again if only quality content was behind the paywall, but this sudden uptick in subrscriber only content made sure that I would not subscribe again to this app. Used to love it, but not anymore

News24 sucks bad now! u guys roped us in now the user experience is awful. shady tricks to try and get subscribers (I'm even questioning if u guys need subscribers, are you're just copying other tech companies), which if needed then fair enough, but I don't like clicking and finding out I have to pay. the app can also use a redesign for better nav. I'm deleting it for the time being and using Google news. if I have to pay I'll first try out Sunday world where I know what I'm getting myself into.

Ad overload + more articles are "subscriber only" than not. What's the point of using this as a source of news when 80% of the content is "Subscriber only"? The fact that you cant differentiate between the subscriber only articles and ones that you can read makes it even worse. I suppose highlighting how little content there is for non subscribers would lose them even more readership. I for one, have given up on it as a source of news. R75 per month to read the "ad supported" news is rediculous.

Almost impossible to scroll down on pages, particularly ones with live updates, as soon as you touch the page it either flips to the next or previous article. Makes the app almost useless.

I'm experiencing extreme frustration with the app when scrolling through an article. No matter how carefully I scroll, the swipe left and right are so sensitive that I perpetually open another article. Please can this be fixed because it's ruining my user experience.

News24, you are probably haemorrhaging readers with your latest decision to not only make 80% of your articles subscription based, but now also to not indicate which articles are for subscribers only. Very few of the SA population can afford even R75 a month so you are doing the country a great dis-service, especially going into elections. I suggest you re-evaluate your business model and get more advertising revenue to make more articles free. As for me, I'm deleting this app after many years.
