 الدعاء اللدني نقصد به الدعاء القرآني مع العلم والتشديد ان الدعاء الَلدُنْي لا يختص بأي مذهب ديني أو أي طائفه لا من قريب ولا من بعيد. بل هو الدعاء أو الادعية المذكورة في القران الكريم التي أتت من لدّن الله (بمعنى من عند الله) عز وجل بلسان انبيائه وعباده في القران الكريم، فخير الكلام كلام الله.  كقوله تعالى ﴿رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ﴾ آل عمران-۸
