Confusing & not useful 1. Books are listed as "read" as soon as I download them. 2. Cannot search for titles on the app, or view all the books I have on my "feedback pending" list. 3. Cannot send the books to my Kindle app, so I am forced to read everything on my phone. 3. Have to go to the Netgalley website to request a book or submit a review, so why bother with the app in the first place??

I haaaaaate this app for audiobooks. I have to stay in it to keep it playing (like YouTube). The whole reason to listen to audiobooks is so you can do other things while listening. Also, sometimes it cuts out and when you get back to it, it's skipped why back. When you go to the chapter section, there aren't actual chapters, it's just the name of the book title over and over, so you have to take a big guess about where you were. Seriously, NetGalley should be better than this.

There's a new bug since the app has been updated: it's telling me that I can't read a book that I had previously downloaded, because it's expired, except that I know for certain that is not the case, since the archive date for the same book on the netgalley website is 24/06/2021. Also, when I try downloading the protected pdf from the netgalley website, I can download it just fine. The netgalley shelf app is the only one convinced that the book has expired.

Update- ended up having to uninstall and reinstall app. Was worried about losing my books. with the assistance of the help desk was able to get it work Not working. It was working but now it won't open the book. It shows I am 70% done but when I click on book to open in the app, the app just closes immediately. I tried opening a different book and same thing happens. I also tried to update, no luck. Since I opened the books in the app they don't show as my books available anymore on the website.

I wish with all my heart that I could listen to Netgalley audiobooks via Audible or Kindle. Why? Hitting pause absolutely stinks on Shelf. For example, if you have it on your phone and said phone gets a call, it's tough to pause. My caller heard the book. It doesn't sync with bluetooth well. If you hit a forward or backward or pause button with bluetooth, it's probably not going to work. The interface is clunky and looks unfinished.

I'm so frustrated. The update helped a little but the app is still slow. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled. I've reloaded this app on multiple devices. The bookmark feature takes forever to load and most of the time it loads either a much earlier book mark or at a page much later, and its impossible to swipe pages to where I left off because it freezes every 3 to 4 swipes. Please fix this. I love the premise because I rarely read books on my computer but it's almost unusable right now.
