good app, easy to use, and good basic features. Unsurprisingly, the user base is heavily centered around Utah, Idaho, Arizona, and California. This makes it really hard for a user from an area where the church isn't a big hit. Then again, that's not the apps fault, but it was discouraging for me to have to set my distance filters to 200+ miles and not get matches because the people I was swiping on probably won't see me in their swiping due to the distance factor.

The app is fun and interesting to swipe thru at times, but the app itself is extremely unoptimized. Every time I swipe between photos, or up/down it stutters or is slow, or half registers my swipes. I've got the Samsung Flip 5, one of the highest end phones on the market right now and this app is slow on my phone. I genuinely don't think anyone with a few-years-old phone would even be able to use the app. Optimization is the one thing this app REALLY needs

I've been on this app for a few years on and off. While there have been a lot of positive experiences, a lot have been a little frustrating the past year with bugs, running out of people completely, I even tried MutualUp but I've had no success with actually meeting anyone. I don't know if something is broken or what but I didn't get what I paid for at all. Anywhere I ward hopped, out of people. Any limit or filter I tried, no one. It started out okay enough but within days, hardly any activity

I've used this app a lot over the years. I've had to go through catfishing/fake profile claims several times, it often crashes, and has buggy features like you can't edit your about me etc. Filters don't work all the time, and if you're paying to see who liked you, if 95% are people outside your filters, what use is there for them? They need to crack down on people who aren't active on the app. I have a really strong profile and I never match with anyone swiping. Not sure what's going on.

The app is a mess. It will be slow to update profile changes, duplicate pictures, fudge your cards' order, forget you unmatched. God forbid you switch to another app even briefly. Text editing is awful. You can't indent, which makes every blurb a big wall of unsexy text. They also cut down the number of up swipes to something absurdly low, like 20. Chances are near zero that you find a match per day, even if you abandon all hope and only swipe up. Delete the app and talk to women irl.

This app is a wonderful idea in concept and really great for connecting members of the church across great distances, especially someone like me who lives outside of Utah but still within North America. That being said, the app is quite buggy and crashed often for me. I did find that in order to find who I was looking for, I did need to spend money on the subscription. I'd say it was worth it though since it helped me find and meet my current boyfriend.

About this app

Mutual is the largest and fastest growing dating app for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS/Mormon)!

Mutual is a place where single members of the Church can make meaningful connections that lead to real dating. The app was created by BYU grads who know how difficult it can be to meet others with similar interests, beliefs and standards, especially outside of Provo. Mutual offers features that help you get to know other singles beyond their profile photos, by highlighting information such as mission location and interests you share in common with potential matches.

The Mutual team is committed to upholding the standards of our faith, and making Mutual a genuine and safe place you can trust. All profiles get reviewed before entering our community. Users are encouraged to verify their profiles before meeting in person to ensure they are who they claim to be. We also make it easy to report inappropriate behavior in the app, to maintain a positive environment for everyone.

In the words of Brigham Young, "This is the place."
