Unlike that piece of garbage Google forced down my throat after taking away the original music player, THIS program actually works. It doesn't complain if there's no internet connection like that other junk. It doesn't stall between songs for several minutes. It doesn't struggle to play songs, requiring you to tell it RETRY repeatedly. Fantastic, lightweight, no ads and no aggravation.

I was enjoying the app, but I've run into an issue recently. I keep all of my music files in a music folder on my SD card. I just added a few new songs to my music folder. The songs show up and play on my Samsung Music app, but not on my BlackPlayer app. I've tried restarting my phone several times and the "scan for music" button in the BlackPlayer settings. The app won't find those songs, and I don't understand why...

It's simply great. It's light and fast. Good UI. Groups songs into albums in each artist page which is rare nowadays. Way better than google and YouTube music players. Allows to edit Metadata which is extremely helpful for organizing library. The only problem is it doesn't actually attack album cover to the file, even after enabling that option.

I honestly don't have any problems with this app. It allows me to manually set the album cover to any song (sometimes i just put in covers that aren't even for the song, just cus it's pretty) and I can edit the song details to shorten or add to the artist or song title and stuff
