الحكم الشرعيّ للحب وفقا للإفتاء أوضحت دار الإفتاء المصرية، إنه يمكن القول في التّأصيل الفقهيّ للحب بأنّه لا بأس بتاتاً أن يميل قلب رجل إلى امرأة يسمع عن صفاتها وأخلاقها وشمائلها، وكذلك أن تُحب امرأة رجلاً شاهدت وعلمت من صفاته وشمائله ما يدعوها إلى الزّواج منه، ولكن لا يجوز بتاتاً أن تكون هناك ثمّة علاقة أو تواصل بين رجل وامرأة، سواءً باتّصال، أو نظرة، أو همسة، أو كلمة، أو لقاءٍ أو غير ذلك، وكلّ ما يتمّ من تواصل بخلاف ذلك يكون مُحرّماً، فالحُرمة ليست في ذات الحبّ، إنّما فيما يصدر عن المُتاحبّين من أفعالٍ، أو أقوال، أو كنظرٍ، أو تغازلٍ أو غير ذلك.
وتابعت إنه بناءً على ذلك يمكن تقسيم الحب إلى قسمين: أول نوع هو ما لا يستطيع القلب ردّه وهذا يُعرض على القلب: ولا دخل للإنسان فيه، وهذا النّوع من الحب لا يأثم به المُسلم لأنّه خارج عن إرادته
