The service just kept deteriorating when it should have been the opposite. I got the yearly pass and the app maybe let me watch movies for 4 months without issues. After that, it just said "there's a problem with your request. please try later" for the rest of the 8months! 100$ down the drain. The customer service just blatantly ignores you when you question it. So done!

so far my only issue and the reason I have it 2 stars is the rotating movies. you can only see certain movies on certain days. me and my husband can only free to see a movie on Wed, Friday's and sat. but most of the time the movie we want to see is not available for movie pass on those days that week. So we have to keep waiting and checking the app each week to see if the movie we want to see is available on one of the days we are free. Sometime the movie finally shows up, like on a Wed, and we planning on going to see it, but then my husband has to unexpectedly work late, and there goes out chance to see the movie. because who knows when it will show up again on a day we are both free if it does at all. I have been with this app since it was unlimited movies. I was okay with most of the changes, that it has gone through. I don't mind only getting to see 3 movies a month, or paying a little extra to see a 4th movie. none of this was making me think to cancel my member ship. But not being able to see the movie I want to see on the day I am free to go see a movie. Then why am I even paying for this account. something needs to change or i will have to move on. this is getting ridiculous

First off, i bought the pass and in 2 weeks they changed the rules so you can only get 3 movies a month instead of 1 a day, which isnt a big deal to me because theaters are obviously losing money if you go to 30 movies for under $10. But now only about 1 or 2 movies at theaters around me are supported. Also, Im currently headed to a movie with my girlfriend right now and when I searched for the movie about an hour ago it was on the app at 3:15, but now that we are headed to the movie, within our 30 minutes of checking in before the showing, all of a sudden the showing for the movie is only at 9:30pm instead of 3:15 and 5:30. Very upset and will be cancelling my subscription. This app used to be well worth the money but has definately lost everything Ive liked about it. Would not suggest this to anyone.

It was great at first! But then the last 5 times I wanted to see a movie, I'd get a 'service unavailable' message. Why am I paying for a service that doesn't work? so I cancelled my subscription, got an alert that they will charge one more billing cycle and they have continued to bill me for FOUR MONTHS! I filed a fraud claim with my bank and put a stop payment on them. Moviepass is a scam!!

My app started saying, "There was a problem with your request. Please try again." every time I tapped a movie or theater. This after the movie and theater selection all but disappeared. I canceled through the app, it told me my card would last until the end of the billing cycle, i uninstalled the app. Turns out the app didn't send the request, and i didn't realize money wasn't coming out of my account till months later, and customer service was unwilling to refund me any money for their bad app.

I enjoy using MP, because I'm still able to access a lot of shows in my city (although I know ppl in smaller markets have expressed to me how they never have shows available). The app for MP is not great though. The billing cycle and number of movies left in my cycle are never up-to-date. I've had my plan not renew on the renewal date. MP has also skipped an entire month and not allowed me to a access movies. Just so many glitches. When it works, It's nice...
