This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing The Movie Hop on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I like this app a lot but it needs some tweeks. I don't like that it gives options where the first movie ends after the second movie starts. I also don't like that it gives you no options for movies with more than 30 mins of wait time in between. I don't mind the wait times as it give time to refill snacks and take bathroom breaks. I would rather have all options available.

I'm writing this to report this error with the DEV. If a movie has one showtime it automatically doesn't hop, even if it is totally doable. Someone contact me so I can submit a more detailed oriented bug report for the next update.

I live in the Kansas City area. It just took me a few minutes to go through and pick the theater I want to go to, and a fun combination of three movies for tomorrow. This will be a perfect app for me. Totally worth the $0.99

Enter which movies you want to watch and The Movie Hop calculates for you all possible movie combinations, giving you the option to choose from the one that works best for you. Each combination conveniently includes the total wait time between movies and total time spent at the theater. The full list of features includes:
