About this app

श्री रामचरितमानस (तुलसीकृत रामायण) हिंदी साहित्य की अमूल्य निधि है। इस महाकाव्य की रचना संत तुलसीदास द्वारा १६वीं शताब्दी में 'अवधी भाषा' में की गई थी। हिंदी भाषियों के बीच यह रामायण (Ramayan) के रूप में ही प्रसिद्ध है।

कहते हैं तुलसीदास जी महर्षि वाल्मीकि ही थे जिन्होंने कलयुग में तुलसीदास के रूप में जन्म लेकर रामायण को जनकल्याणकारी और सर्वसुलभ रूप में सामान्य जनमानस के समक्ष उद्घाटित किया और उसे नाम दिया- 'रामचरितमानस'।

रामचरित मानस का भारतीय संस्कृति में विशेष महत्व है।

रामचरितमानस की हर चौपाई में सीता-राम हैं क्योंकि इसकी हर चौपाई में स, त, र, म अवश्य मिलेगा। इसी कारण इसकी एक-एक चौपाई को मंत्र की तरह प्रयोग किया जाता है।
